SOUTHEND United will head into the final game of the National League season still being able to reach the play-offs.
Blues – who host Rochdale at Roots Hall on Saturday – are ninth in the standings, three points below Aldershot and Halifax Town.
But the Shrimpers’ far superior goal difference means they can still secure a top seven finish.
Kevin Maher’s side will finish the season in the play-offs if they beat Rochdale, Aldershot lose at Dagenham & Redbridge and Halifax are beaten at Eastleigh.
